On January 25, 2025, Catherine, Princess of Wales, inaugurated a new unit at the Royal Marsden Hospital dedicated to pediatric cancer research and treatment. At the opening ceremony, Catherine praised the dedication of the medical staff and researchers committed to saving children's lives.

"This new pediatric cancer unit offers new hope to many families," Catherine said in her speech. "I am deeply impressed by the dedication of the medical team here and the incredible research they are conducting."

The new unit features cutting-edge medical technology and facilities designed specifically for the comfort of young patients. Catherine toured several rooms in the unit and spoke with patients and their families.

"Catherine's presence brings strength and encouragement to patients and families," said Dr. John, head of the pediatric cancer unit at Royal Marsden. "Having the support of a royal figure like Catherine is a great honor for us."

In addition to inaugurating the new unit, Catherine also met with researchers working on innovative treatment methods for pediatric cancer. They presented their latest research findings, showing significant potential in curing pediatric cancer.

"I am highly interested in the research they are doing and look forward to supporting their hard work further," Catherine added.

With the opening of this new unit, the Royal Marsden Hospital aims to provide better care and improve the chances of recovery for pediatric cancer patients. Catherine remains committed to supporting medical initiatives that enhance children's well-being.
